The Glass Encounter on the theme of "When glass and beer combine" is now behind us and brought an evening where two strong Czech traditions naturally came together: the craft of glassmaking and our national passion, BEER.

In collaboration between designer Wanda Solík Valihrachová and master glassmaker Ondřej Novotný, an original collection of beer glasses was created, which visitors had the opportunity to watch being made live at the glassworks.
The evening also included an author presentation by designer Wanda Valihrachová, during which she introduced her approach to design, her inspiration from historical beer glasses, and the concept behind the collection itself. Visitors were guided through the individual glass types - Femina, Masculin, and Unisex. The collection reinterpreted one of the archetypal decorative motifs of historical beer glasses, the circle pattern, expressed in three distinctive forms.
