Novotný Glass was founded by the legendary glassmaker Petr Novotný, a leading figure in Czech and international glasswork. Today, his son Ondřej carries on his legacy, leading the glassworks and continuing his father’s heritage.
Knowledge & experience
During his career, he studied under some of the most respected glass artists, including Boyd Sugiki and Dave Walters at the famous Pilchuck Glass School in the USA, as well as Janusz Pozniak and other masters. Later in his career, he extended his knowledge to other glass artists and has worked closely for many years with the world-renowned glass sculptor Martin Janecký and Rob Stern.
Collaboration & creation
He has showcased his work in prestigious galleries and at glass art events including Collect London, London Glassblowing, Biennale Stourbridge, Waldmuseum Zwiesel, and the Centre du Verre Contemporain Biot. Over the years, he has established collaborations with numerous artists, designers, and brands from all over the world, and has been regularly collaborating with students from UMPRUM, UJEP, etc..
