Vladimir Klein is a renowned Czech glass artist, educator and designer, born in 1950 in Komárno. He is considered one of the leading figures in contemporary Czech studio glass. He is best known for his cut and carved sculptures in optical glass, combining highly polished surfaces with distinctive chipped textures.

He studied at the Secondary School of Glassmaking in Kamenický Šenov and later at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM), where he studied under Professor Stanislav Libenský.

He later worked as an educator and worked as director of the Glass School in Kamenický Šenov. For several years, he also taught in Japan at the Toyama City Institute of Glass Art. He was also the chief designer at Crystalex in Nový Bor.

His work is represented in major collections around the world, including the Corning Museum of Glass in the USA. His distinctive approach to glass is often compared to that of a stone sculptor. He frequently creates monumental sculptures characterised by striking light effects and geometric clarity.
